The only thing fake about the video is that it involves Haitians and the DR.
I would say it is much more likely Venezuela from the Spanish spoken.

1. I dont believe the hand is fake at all-if you look closely you can see the little finger extended until he places his hand back on the rock at which point it becomes a fist again.

2. IF it is an attachment its a damn good one! The guys not even wearing sleves-you can see his whole forearm and it looks natural.

3. As for the sound created when the machete hits the rock-perfectly normal.The metal blade is striking a solid hard object (the rock) sending a vibration up the blade creating the "ping" sound.
