Louisiana creoles have been in Louisiana for about 100 or more years prior to the Haitian revolution.

French and Spanish people have been in Louisiana since the mid 1500's and that is 250 years prior to the Haitian revolution.

So yes to answer you some people from Louisiana have some Haitian ancestry but it did not dominate the culture there that already existed.

Haiti had an influence but the cultures are distinct.

Many of us people from Louisiana did not even know that much about Haitian immigration and a lot of that has unfortunately been lost. Sadly also most blacks no longer speak french or creole at all. My great-grandparents were the last in my immediate family to use it regularly.
