You have a dream, your loved ones oppose, what do you do?
Have you ever wanted to do something and everyone around you, literally everyone is against it? What do you do in that case?
Food for Thought - As a Haitian Thinketh...
Sometimes the people around you put you in a bubble, a protective bubble where you are surrounded by their fears, their past mistakes, everything that they are too afraid to do themselves, everything that tried and failed at.
So when you gather enough guts to get up and go for it, to do something you truly believe will workout in your best interest, it is like the poppy-seeds syndrome; they chop your head off so that you stay in line, so that you stay at the same level as the rest of us.
Sometimes in order for you to do just start, go for it, you may have to abandon ship. You may have to leave you surroundings and start fresh somewhere else.
And sometimes you have to burn the bridge so you don't go back to all the negativity and all those who love you so much that they won't let you try something new.
I am not telling you abandon your family and friends. Just a friendly advice: Tell them what you did what never tell them what you intend to do if you know that will not support you in your endeavors.
Follow your dreams.
And most importantly, DO NOT give up on that dream.
