How the Jewish-Americans are Helping Haiti

The only thing I know about Jewish-Americans and Haiti, up until today, is the fact my father used to live in a building owned by a Jewish guy named Eli. I had no idea that they were helping out in Haiti after the earthquake.

I knew about the medical team from Isreal but I dind't know that the Jewish-American community was helping out in Haiti.

That was until I bumped into a video of an organization called JDC, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and their efforts, working hand in hand with other NGOs on the ground to help earthquake victims in Haiti.

They are doing their part to help in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.

I grew up in Spring Valley NY, a village surrounded by two Jewish communities, one in Monsey NY, and another in New Square NY.

Next time you bump into one of the men in black, tell them Woody said thank you.
