To show the sheer size of the Haitian community in Philadelphia here is what was posted in the event details:
There is a huge Haitian Christian community in Philadelphia, as evidenced by the number of Haitian churches in Philadelphia-approximately 68. Gospel music plays a vital role in the lives of Philadelphia Haitians because of their religious beliefs.
you can get more info about this Haitian Gospel Music Awards here.
If you are from Philly tell us more about the Haitian community there. I keep thining that New York, New Jersey, Massachussetts, and Miami have the largest Haitian communities outside of Haiti, I would love to know more about the Haitian community in Philly.
As always, listing Haitian events on www.belfet.com is free so be sure to post your Haitian events today.

I can tell you that there are close to 50,000 Haitians/Haitian-Americans living in the Philadelphia/Greater Delaware Valley area (I am one of them).
Large groups of us who live in the city live in West Philadelphia & Mount Airy. Despite the large numbers, there is much division.
Unlike other cities like NY, Miami, and Boston.
I work to provide Health services, Education, and cross-cultural promotions through the Elise Joseph Foundation.
