As a young journalist for Radio Haiti Inter in the 1980s, Liliane Pierre-Paul made a name for herself as one of the most formidable women critics of the Duvalier regime.

Since her early years, Liliane Pierre-Paul endured profound moments of pain.

Her life was marked by torment, including torture, rape, beatings, imprisonment, and exile.

Liliane was compelled to endure a six-year exile, seeking refuge in Venezuela and Curacao during that period. The circumstances of her exile were a result of the challenges she faced as a brave journalist dedicated to upholding truth and transparency in Haiti.

Through these harrowing experiences, she transcended into a prominent figure within Haitian society, her name etched into the collective consciousness of the nation.
