Haitian Proverb - Mikrob pa tiye ayisyen

There is a Haitian Kreyol saying "Mikob pa tiye ayisyen" (microbes don't kill Haitians)

Perhaps it is because many Haitians live in some crazy living conditions and the fact that they are alive is a miracle.

There are probably other reason why a Haitian would say that. If you can think of one, share it with us...
