Nothing is set in stone yet. These are only estimates.

The only reason Nicaragua has gone down a bit is because the US hasn't given it financial assitance because of the current government.

Haiti and Nicaragua are still fragile countries and if Nicaragua gets its financial assistance from the United States, nothing will change.

Haiti will still remain poor and so will Nicaragua.

Shame on all of you who believe that this is such great news. Both countries have to work hard for the misfortune that has fallen on them. Both have so much work to do. One's misfortunes should not be rejoiced when another's are practically the same.

GDP is a bad measure way to measure how "poor" a country is. It should be measured by comparitive living standards of poverty, and those below more »
