Under Normal circumstances I would not respond to a writer who makes unsubstantiated allegations and remains anonymous.
But we are going through extraordinary times in our beloved nation island.
Since I can not be in Haiti, I will not sit here idly and let someone express themselves in a manner that is inflammatory not only to a democratically elected president but the Haitian people that elected him. Furthermore he/she is proposing an illegal removal of that president.
Often time people mistake slander with free speech.
They mistake criminality with revolution.
Since Haiti is new with the concept of democracy, I can see where even good willed people can confuse the than line that exist slander and free speech.
However, once it is brought to your attention, if you do not make a concerted effort to understand the difference then you can no longer be consider a person of good will. I will give you the benefit of the doubt...
Let me stretch my imagination and agree with your slanderous allegations about the President, do you then side with some opportunistic individuals whose interests are in jeopardy with no mandate from the Haitian people.
I don't think so.
One lesson in democracy you need to learn is patience and respect.
Patience to wait for the president to complete his two years in office.
Respect for the office of the presidency regardless how you feel about the individual.
Take a page from the last American presidential election where Mr. Bush was selected by the US Supreme court.
Once president he is given the respect fitting the office.
Respectfully yours,
