In reference to FLASH: Haiti - A Bridge Collapes in Port-au-Prince Area, There should be scales installed to determine the weight of the trucks before crossing and secure underneath of it so people do not steal the bolts that secure the bridge.

For a small bridge like this one, these trucks with heavy load should not have been on the bridge in the first place.

This bridge was not a strong bridge. They should build iron bridges around the country to prevent such incident to happen more »
