Woodring, I understand you. This is a very sad situation.
I grew up in Haiti until my mid twenties, and I know for a fact that we did not have cholera in Haiti prior to the UN taking over the country.
They know it, but would not take responsibility because Haiti is a small country and "the poorest" like they love to call it.
History teaches us, however that Haiti was once called "la perle des Antilles".
We should never forget that. Our most valuable resources have been taken away by Spain and France, just like they treated the other colonies, like Cuba or Mexico.
When we look back, we wish that our leaders could have ruled the country properly on their own, without any UN intervention.
That way, we would not have been dealing with cholera.
In the end, the best we can do is protect ourselves and Inform or educate those we come in contact with, to take precautionary measures as well.
