The Truth Is Told!!!!

Hello, My name is Nadia Sanon.

Im a 20 year old Floridian mother that just wanted to share the joy that I got from this poem. As a young child I was the only Haitian in the entire school.

Even though I didn't carry a accent, I was verbally and mentally abused by black and white kids. After a while I realized its their ignorence that causes them to act this way. Now that I'am a freshmen in college, the same people want to learn more about the so called "cat eaters/voodoo people." Its funny how things change.

Hopefully, by the time my daughter begins school, she will only hear about being looked down upon because she is Haitian.

I will make sure she learn about her culture and is proud to be Haitian.

In conclusion, I will save this poem for her so, she to will know The Truth Has Been Told!!
