Yes, many, if not most Haitian men, are looking for a homemaker, a woman who manages a home and often raises children instead of a career woman earning money from a job.

For a typical Haitian woman in the Diaspora, their job is doubled. They have to go to work and manage the home at the same time.

The last time I told my Haitian friends that I prefer a business woman as a wife because most of the chores of the house can be taken care of by a servant, that conversation did not go too well.

They argue it is the responsibility of a good wife do this and that for their man including cooking, cleaning the house, etc...

What do you think about that?
