Visa to Chile: ONLY 2 visas granted to Haitians, 2131 visas granted to Venezuelans

New chilean president Sebastian Pinera has litterally stopped the inflow of Haitians to Chile. As of April 16th 2018, all Haitians traveling to Chile require a tourist visa.. The only problem is, ONLY 2 visas have been granted to Haitians thus far.

Compare that to citizens of Venezuela who received 2,131 visas to go to Chile.

can stay in Chile for a duration of 30 days without migratory possibilities.

Roberto Ampuero, the Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, revealed that 72 requests were received in Port-au-Prince for the new Chile tourist visa, of which 66 were rejected for not providing all the documentation or information required. 2 visas have been granted and 4 are under revision.
