The budget of the Ministry of Defense has increased to more than 535 million gourdes in the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

With this increase, newspaper Le Nouvelliste reports, the Minister of Defense announces the recruitment of young people between the ages of 18 and 35, which will make it possible to constitute a new defense force for the country.
