The Cholera Lawsuit - Haiti Vs The UN
Victims of the cholera epidemic in Haiti are threatening to sue the United Nations for billions of dollars unless the UN talks about compensation within the next 60 days.
Lawyers of the victims are planning to start the lawsuit in New York claiming $100,000 for families who have died from Cholera in Haiti and $50,000 for each of the thousands of people who have fallen sick to the disease.
When you consider that nearly 8,000 people have died from cholera in Haiti and the hundreds of thousands who have fallen sick, we are talking about billions of dollars.
Will this lawsuit bear fruit?
The United Nations maintains that it is IMUNE from legal proceedings... Sa vle di... You cannot sue the UN.
