Haiti airport employees will only be paid half their salary due to COVID-19 lockdown

Due to major shutdowns and air traffic to a half, the Haitian Airport Authority (AAN) is cutting the salaries of airport employees by a half in order to keep the employees with an income.

HAITI's Port-au-Prince International Airport is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are no activities therefore no money coming in.

Despite this lack of Revenue, aan, the Haitian Airport Authority has decided that employees will be paid for two weeks out of the month in alternate cycles so that at least everybody gets a paycheck.

There was a fire early morning Tuesday at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in the Departure area. Watch this video as airport workers tried to identify the source of the fire.

According to a credible news source, this airport fires started in of of the booths that sell perfume at the airport departure area.

Luckily the fires was maintained and no major damages have been reported.
