The President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet‏, writes on her Twitter page: "Today I met Richard Joseph, the Haitian citizen who saved a person on Sunday."

"His action tells us about the Chile we want to build," President Bachelet wrote, "solidarity and that is involved in the collective welfare."
