Haitian-Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka set her goat to go to the French Open while holding on the her number one spot and she did. Osaka will be top seed at the French Open after her beating Dominika Cibulkova and Mihaela Buzarnescu on the same day in Rome.

Considered a milestone on her to do list, a journalist asked Naomi Osaka what will it mean to her to go into the French Open top seed after saying in Madrid that's what she wanted. Osaka said:

"After Madrid I kinda stopped thinking about it... I came to number one by by winning the Grand Slam so obviously I need to win stuff to stay there... I have to think about winning tournaments... That's sort of what I've been thinking about this entire tournament."

"That definitely was a very big goal of mine," she continued, "but for now I am just trying to take it one match at a time."

The French Open, also called Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks between late May and early June at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France.
