Would you believe, Haitian dictator Jean Claude Duvalier's name is making headlines in the United States in Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.

If Mitt Romney picks Rob Portman as a running mate, Democrats will immediately pounce, portraying him not just as Bush crony but also a former lobbyist for overthrown Haitian dictator Jean Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier.

That's quite an explosive allegation. Baby Doc was a notorious and blood-thirsty dictator.

Is Republican VP contender Rob Portman really linked to the Duvalier regime in Haiti?

According to news reports, Rob Portman used to work for Washington-based lobbying firm Patton Boggs as a young lawyer in the mid-1980s.

Here is the link... The Republic of Haiti, under the leadership of then Haitian dictator Jean Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, was a client of Patton Boggs.
