I read the first article about an imported organic rum from Haiti and I ignored it.

Recently, I stumbled onto another brand of "clairin" being imported into to the United States with the fancy label "Organic Rum" and it is selling at USD $40 a bottle.

There is a strong foreign demand for high-quality organic rice, says Fabias Voltaire, a 37-year-old Haitian entrepreneur. It may cost more, but many regard it as healthier and better-tasting than American varieties.

Plus, Haitian émigrés in the States love it, Voltaire says: "Haitians are ... very sentimental about eating rice from home."

It is spring in Haiti, the mango season is coming. Haiti should export all types of mangos: Mango corn, mango labiche, mango fil, mango rond, mango peau fin, mango cannelle, etc...

One mango Madame Francis costs from $1.00 to $2.00 depending of the size of the Madame Francis, all other mangos cost 2 for $1.50 in the supermarket.

Haiti should plant more mangoes to export to the USA and Canada and everywhere are Haitians are living because the mango can bring great profit to Haiti.
