In November 2011, Guerdwich Montimere, the Haitian man who posed as high school star basketball player Jerry Joseph in West Texas was convicted and sentenced to 3 years behind bars.

Guerdwich Montimere, ALREADY a Naturalized U.S. Citizen, and a high school graduate in South Florida, decided to go to West Texas, pose as a homeless illegal immigrant teenager from Haiti named Jerry Joseph, and re-entered high school, and re-lived out his dream as a high school Basketball star.
