Flights to Haiti: American Airlines cancelling its direct flights from JFK and Fort Lauderdale to Port-au-Prince
After 47 years of flying Haitian passengers to direct to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, American Airlines has decided to cancel the direct flight from JFK and Fort Lauderdale Airports to Port-au-Prince International Airport.
Starting November 03, 2018, American Airline will only fly Haitian Passengers to Miami International Airport. From there you will have to connect to your final destination.
The airline company blames difficult times and the rise in the price of jet fuel for making this decision.

Great news for airline passengers flying to Northern Haiti ... Spirit Airlines has announced a new flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cap-Haitien International Airport in Haiti starting April 12 2017.
No need to book a Spirit airline flight from Fort Lauderdale to Port-au-Prince and drive all the way north to Cap Haitien and surrounding cities. You will soon fly straight to Cap-Haitien international airport via Spirit Airlines.
