Haiti Drug Bust : A Former Haiti Depute arrested with 400 kilos of Marijuana
PoliFont, Haiti's border police arrested Jean Fenel Thanis a former deputy of Les Cayes / Ile a Vache, was arrested Tuesday with 400 kilos of marijuana in Ganthier, a town en route to the Haiti-Dominican border.

The first news reports say it was a kidnapping gone bad and the Widmaier family was negotiating with the kidnappers; however, when Haitian police arrested a suspect, he said Gunther Widmaier died as a result of an "overdose of cocaine" since the day of his disappearance on June 22.
Gunther Widmaier was found dead in Pèlerin during the night of June 29, 2018.

A Haitian citizen was arrested in Jamaica with $6.5 million worth of ganja. Jamaican detectives of the narcotics division arrested 22-year-old Love Darlen's Felix, he said his name was 'Odian Powell.'
