Great news for airline passengers flying to Northern Haiti ... Spirit Airlines has announced a new flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cap-Haitien International Airport in Haiti starting April 12 2017.

No need to book a Spirit airline flight from Fort Lauderdale to Port-au-Prince and drive all the way north to Cap Haitien and surrounding cities. You will soon fly straight to Cap-Haitien international airport via Spirit Airlines.

Jetblue flight 1845 was en route to the Port-au-Prince airport from JFK airport in New York but had to make an emergency landing in the island of Bermuda Saturday...

There was nothing wrong with the aircraft but one of the passengers on the plane had a medical emergency.

The airpplane landed in LF Wade International airport in Bermuda and emergency medical personnel rushed in to take the passenger to the hospital.

The officials will be received at the Airport's diplomatic lounge by Minister of Tourism, Stéphanie B. Villedrouin and Ambassador of the United States in Haiti, Pamela White, for a welcome cocktail

JetBlue Airways Corporation announced today that their intend to begin flights to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, from New York and Florida as of December 5, 2013 pending Haitian and U.S. Government approval.

The airline company will offer a daily non-stop flight between New York's JFK airport and Toussaint Louverture international airport in Port-au-Prince.

For South Florida residents, Jetblue will also have, not one, but TWO daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
