In a recently released documentary, Préval says the former head of the UN mission in Haiti called him on the day of the internationally sponsored elections in November 2010, to say "political problems" required the president to leave.
Haiti Government Removes Security of Former President Aristide
The Martelly administration took the decision to remove the security of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide 48 hours after his appearance in court on Wednesday May 8 despite laws providing former Heads of State security.
The information was confirmed by Scoop FM radio host Garry Pierre-Paul Charles on Friday.

Haitian president Michel Martelly replied to allegations made by former president Jean Bertrand Aristide that there is a hunger problem in Haiti and that those in power are not doing anything about it.
President Martelly "defended his record and marked his difference to Lavalas" in an exclusive interview to Scoop FM. This, according to an article, in French, from Le Nouvelliste
"Someone is pretending to attack the problem of hunger when he spent 10 years in power. This is a lie," President Martelly says without mentioning once the name Jean Bertrand Aristide

Haiti: Aristide Day In Court, ALL Street Protests Banned
There is a ban on protests today as former Haiti president Jean Bertrand Aristide goes to court to answer questions from an investigative judge on the unresolved case of the assassination of radio journalist Jean Dominique back in April 2000.
The Haiti National police warns the public that all protest are prohibited because police will be busy providing security for Aristide as he travels by caravan from his home and back.
