Lavalas leaders Ansito Felix, Louis Gérald Gilles and Schiller Louidor spoke to the Haitian media denouncing these accusation.
"Fanmi Lavalas condems with full force the assassination of Oriel Jean, one of them said. "Others have more to gain from this assassination then Lavalas," another one said, "they are using it for political reasons to prevent Lavalas from going to the upcoming elections."
