Natcom-Digicel: Haiti Mobile Phone Service is so BAD the Government is getting involved

HAITI: Natcom Vs. Digicel... Kiyes ki Pi Bon?

Question: What is your experience with Natcom or Digicel phone service in Haiti? Good or Bad?

If you are in Haiti you surely know about these problems:

1) You add minutes to your phone and when you decide to use those minutes, they disappear

2) The Internet access speed being advertised is not the speed you get in reality.

3) You phone a friend and you hear other people talking on the line.

4) You receive a phone call, you can hear the person saying "Hello... Hello..." but they cannot hear you.

5) Sometimes you can't even make the phone call because the network is overloaded.

These are some problems that I personally know exists

According to news reports, Haitian Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant is concerned about the situation and he wants to address the issue structurally and legally so that laws can be passed to better regulate the telecommunications sector in the country Haiti.
