Naomi Osaka chose her Japanese nationality over US Citizenship
It's official, Haitian-Japanese Tennis start Naomi Osaka has decided to take sole Japanese nationality over American nationality to compete for Japan on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Osaka was born in Japan to a Japanese mother and Haitian father; however, she raised in the United States. Naomi Osaka told NHK World in an interview that she began the process of becoming a Japanese citizen.

Japanese law requires dual-nationality citizens to choose one nationality at the age of 22. Naomi Osaka will turn 22 on October 16 and she made her decision.
