Many Haitians have migrated to Brazil and Chile over the past few years. It has become the new destination for Haitians who want to leave the country.

Many times you ask for somebody you haven't seen for a while and their family or friends will tell you: "Oh... Li ale Chili..." (he/she went to Chile)

All stereotypes aside, many Haitian professionals have actually left the country and have gone to Chile or Brazil looking a better life.
