So far, Kanaval in les cayes has been a great experience, some say the crowd in Les Caye is one of the most civilized crowd they have experienced in a Carnival atmosphere.

President Martelly and many of the his ministers were in attendence. Many band who stopped to greet the president called him by his Italian Nickname "Mitchele Matele"

We know of two Haitian children that were ghoubrt to the US just 7 weeks before this tragedy hit. The orphanage they came from was hit and initially only 2 people were injured.

Now one has died. The children are in need of food, water, and other necessities.

Their shows pictures of their desperate situation.
