Bad news for Haitians in the Diaspora... President Donald Trump's immigration agency is recommending that the United States end temporary protection status (TPS) for 50,000 Haitians by next January 2018...

These Haitians were allowed to remain in the United States following a series of natural disasters that have crippled Haiti over the years but that is coming to an end.

James McCament, acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, concluded in a letter last week that conditions in Haiti have improved enough to end "temporary protected status" for Haitians, USA Today reports...

QUESTION: What does that mean for the hundreds of thousands of Haitians in the southern Haitian peninsula who lost everything in Hurricane Mathew last year and who are relying on their family in the United States for support?
