Haiti Gang Leader Amaral Duclona sentenced to 25 years in jail in France
The verdict is in for Haitian gang leader Amaral Duclona in France... He has been sentenced to a 25 year jail term for the kidnapping, confinement and death of a French-Haitian businessman Claude Bernard Lauture in Haiti back in 2004.
Also known as Berthone Jolicoeur, Amaral Duclona, was arrested in the Dominican Republic and extradited to France where was a waiting trail.
A court in Paris has found the renowned Haitian gang leader guilty and sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
According to news reports, Lauture's widow Marie-Louise Michelle said she was very satisfied with the the verdict but she really regrets that former Haiti President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was not called to testify.
