Haiti Aug 14 earthquake death toll rises to 1,297

Haiti's civil protection agency has released new provisional assessment of the August 14 2021 earthquake. The death toll rose up to 1,297 confirmed dead.

1054 dead in the South, 119 in Grand 'Anse, 122 in the Nippes and 2 in the North-West.

More than 5,700 people are reported injured in the South, Nippes and Grand'Anse departments.

Deahth tolls are expected to rise.
