Haiti Crime - A nephew kills his own uncle for issuing a warrant against him

This happened at 1ere section Rivière-Canot, a communal section of Saut d'Eau, commune in the Mirebalais Arrondissement, in the Centre department of Haiti.

According to the local CASEC these to men in conflict were uncle and nephew. The uncle sent a warrant for the nephew to present before a judge in Saut d'Eau. The CASEC called the nephew into his office to let him know he had to go to court.

Upon finding out that it was his uncle who called him to court and, unluckily for the poor uncle who was about to enter the CASEC's quarters, the nephew ran over two communal policemen who were there and chased the uncle into a local pig market (marche cochon) and stabbed him with a knife. The uncle died on the spot.

According to the CASEC the population chased the murderer but he escaped and he is now on the run.
