Haiti Press Network reports...

Paul Evans said the government intends by this gesture to end the protest movement triggered by the people of Arcahaie for nearly two months, to denounce the arbitrary amputation of part of their territory.

There will no longer be a ommune des Arcadins but the Commune de Montruis.

Prime Minister Evans paul also said that victims, including owners of motorcycles whose vehicles were burned, will be compensated.

The decree that will create a new delimitation was to be published in the official newspaper Le Moniteur Thursday, October 22.
