Gras Bondye, LALO vann 3 pake pou 10 goud nan mache Hinche jiskaprezan. Sa fè-m anvi chante: "Manman Doudou, Papa Cheri, ban nou manje, LALO peyi!" LOL.

Pri tout manje importe ap monte nan peyi Dayiti akoz dola US la k-ap vale teren...

Kouzinn mwen di-m: "Banm lajan pou-m achte LALO..."

Mwen mande li: "konbyen kòb"

Li di: "20 goud"

(My cousin asks me for money to buy lalo, I ask how much she said $20 gourdes)

Lè li soti nan mache, li retounen ak yon pakèt LALO, li telman anpil se mwatye lalo a ki ale nan chodyè, res la ale nan frijidè pou kwit yon lòt jou.

(came back with so much lalo that she only cooked half of it and left the rest in the fridge.)

Ca c'est du BON BAGAY mon cher... LOL...

Majorite manje ki kwit nan chodyè en Haiti se manje importe, diri, pat tomat, lèt, spaghetti, e latriye... Sa lakoz depi dola Americain an monte, pri manje sa yo monte tou paske moun ki ap vann produit importe sa yo se an dola US yo achte...

(Most of the food Haitians eat are imported. Rice, tomato paste, milk, spaghetti etc. This is why everytime the US dollar goes up in Haiti food prices go up because the vendors use the American dollar to pay for the imported food.)

Fok mwen di-w laverite. Pri LALO poko janm monte, pri ZEPINA poko monte... Epi fèy sa yo ki bon pou sante-w, yo vini tou fre nan mache chak jou soti andeyò.

(my experience, the price of lalo and spinach doesn't go up that much. These legumes are great for your health and they come fresh from the local Haitian farms.)
