Jimmy Jean Louis Commemorates the Death of Toussaint Louverture

According to Le Nouvelliste, Jimmy Jean Louis' father was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

One day before the anniversary date of the death of Toussaint Louverture which Jimmy was scheduled to attend, not far from his house in Torcel (Boulevard 15 Octobre), two gunmen were robbing a store owned by one of Louis L'Ephène's friends and he just happened to be there.

He caught a bullet in the abdomen from these gunmen and was taken to the Hospital that evening. Jimmy Jean-Louis was there, in pain, but kept in inside in order to sand strong by his mother.

Monday, 7 Apr 2014, Jimmy Jean-Louis put his game face on, with his father in the hospital fighting for his life, Jimmy Jean-Louis, dressed as Toussaint Louverture for the ceremony to commemorate the death of the Haitian Hero of Indepenence, stood along side president Martelly and Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe for the ceremony.

Thursday 10 Apr 2014, Jimmy Jean-Louis, the man who played, "The Haitian" in the American TV series HEROES lost his hero. His father died.
