Delta Airlines Is Flying to Haiti

Air Travelers to Haiti have been complaining about the lack of flights to Haiti and the lack of service they receive when flying American Airlines to Haiti.

Delta airlines will start new nonstop daily service between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on June 20.

The last time Delta Airlines had regular flights to Haiti was about 50 years ago when Delta Airlines flew from New Orleans Louisiana to Port-au-Prince Haiti.

Here is a comment from Gail Grimmett, Delta senior vice president, in a recent news release:

"Delta's long-standing commitment to the Caribbean basin is now reinforced as we provide the growing population of Haitians in the tri-state area with more options to visit friends and loved ones in their native country."

South Florida residents fly to Haiti via Spirit Airlines and American Airlines. So far there has been no mention of whether Delta Airlines will schedule flights from Miami International or Fort Lauderdale international airport to Port-au-Prince Haiti but there plenty of time for planning.
