Cuban baseball player Jose Dariel Abreu establishes residency in Haiti in order to cash in
What are the advantages of becoming a resident of Haiti? For Cuban baseball player Jose Dariel Abreu it could mean $50 million in guaranteed money in the Major League Baseball (MLB).
NBCSports.com reports...
Jose Dariel Abreu defected from his native Cuba in early August with the intention of signing a big contract with a Major League Baseball team. That whole process is now well underway.
According to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com, the powerful 26-year-old first base prospect has officially established residency in Haiti and has been cleared by the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Interestingly enough, after reading the article one user comments:
Ah....One of the rare occasions where "establishes residency in Haiti" is positive thing.
Whatever people may say, it is always good to read about Haiti in a positive way...
What do you think about that?
