Cholera In Port-Au-Prince Haiti, Death Toll Approaching 1000

The cholera death toll is going up and up and and there is no sign that it will slow down.

So far close to 1,000 people have died, 14,642 are hospitalized.

Now that the cholera outbreak has reached Port-au-Prince, an overcrowded city with more than 1 million people the fear is that those numbers could skyrocket.

Question:

Cholera can flourish in an area that is unsanitary, environmental changes take decades. How many lives will be lost before we get rid of this disease?
