ATTENTION All Foreigners in Haiti, Time to Renew your Residence Permit

Haiti Immigration/Emigration News -- The Haiti Ministry of the Interior released a note Wednesday reminding all foreigners on Haitian soil to renew their residence permits ASAP since, according to Haitian Law, It is ONLY valid for one fiscal year, from October 1 to September 30... According to note, this residency permit for foreiners is mandatory in Haiti according to Legislative Decree of 26 December 1978 on Immigration and Emigration and specifically in articles 31, 32, 33 and 34 and it is valid for only ONE year...

Haiti - Ministere Interieur - Renouvellement de Permis de Sejour

If you are a foreigner living in Haiti, you must get your stuff in order by visiting the ministry of Interior at Avenue John Brown in Lalue, Port-au-Prince, ASAP because, as of 01 October 2015, you are living here illegally :(
