68 Haitian Churches In Philadelphia!

Would you believe this, there are approximately 68 Haitian Churches in Philly. I was bwowsing through www.Belfet.com doing an update and I found out that there is a Haitian Gospel Music Awards taking place in Philadelphia on December 16th.

To show the sheer size of the Haitian community in Philadelphia here is what was posted in the event details:

There is a huge Haitian Christian community in Philadelphia, as evidenced by the number of Haitian churches in Philadelphia-approximately 68. Gospel music plays a vital role in the lives of Philadelphia Haitians because of their religious beliefs.

If you are from Philly tell us more about the Haitian community there. I keep thining that New York, New Jersey, Massachussetts, and Miami have the largest Haitian communities outside of Haiti, I would love to know more about the Haitian community in Philly.
