How Areal Reforestation Works
Aerial Reforestation, or seed bombing, is a way of replanting trees by dropping "seed bombs", filled with soil and living seeds into barren or deforested areas. The seed bombs are shaped like cones, which penetrate the earth at the same depth as if they were being planted naturally.
One thing that plays a large role in aerial reforestation's relative success is the design of the seed packages... If it's done right, though, reforestation by air can have a success rate as high as 70 percent
