February 7 is the presidential inauguration day of Haiti. That's the day the Haitian government installs a new president in power . It happens every five years on 7 Fevrier (French for February)
The presidential inuguration has been set on this traditional day, 7 Feb, since the depart of Haitian dictator jean Claude Duvalier. He left Haiti on February 7 1986.
A couple of times the presidential inauguration did not happen on February 7 as planned.
