Insecurity in Haiti - Real of Fake?

Insecurity in Haiti - Real of Fake?

Every time something bad happens anywhere in the entire Republic of Haiti, the media talks about "insecurity in Haiti."

If two "bouretye" fight over a woman in the streets and one of them ends up hurting the other. there's "insecurity in Haiti."

It's a very popular phrase in Haiti, tough in the United States it's different. You may year about Food Insecurity in the United States, or Housing insecurity in the United States, but plain old "insecurity in the United States," the media doesn't say it like that.

Justice is sleeping in Haiti - The justice system has been put to sleep by crooked politicians and a corrupt oligarchy

Justice is sleeping in Haiti - The justice system has been put to sleep by crooked politicians and a corrupt oligarchy

In how many country in the world do you hear that judges of the Supreme Court are constantly plotting to overthrow president?

In which other country but Haiti have you heard about the Chief Justice is involved and the assassination of the president?

There's no justice in Haiti. The justice system is sleeping. Or is this the in Haitian Creole, La Justice ap Dòmi.

In this picture, what you are looking at is a graffiti on a wall, a mural in Haiti showing the justice system fast asleep.

As if by coincidence, a Haitian citizen stands in front of the mural, he seems lost like he doesn't know which direction to go.

Gade photo saa... yon graffiti sou yon mur an Haiti ki montre la justice an Haiti ki ap domi, yon citwayen menm kanpe pou kont li, li pa konnen ki wout pou li fè...

Wow... Kisa-w panse de sa?

This is a response to Le Nouveliste Journalist who complained about insecurity in Martissant Haiti

This is a response to Le Nouveliste Journalist who complained about insecurity in Martissant Haiti

Let me translate it for you...

Every time the police arrest a bandit you guys kept saying there are militants.

Every time the police intervenes in these areas you hear it is a massacre.

So stop blabbering your mouth.

Whenever there are police interventions in these areas there will always be collateral damage. There will always be victims because the people who stand with these bad guys will suffer the same consequences as these bandits.

After Martelly/Lamothe arrested rich man Clifford Brandt, kidnapping stopped in Haiti for a very long time. Who do they have to arrest this time?

There was a lot of kidnapping in Haiti a while ago. Then president Michel martelly and prime minister Laurent Lamothe arrested in Rich man Clifford Brandt and all of a sudden kidnapping stopped.

Makes me wonder who's behind all of this kidnapping in Haiti right now?

Who do they have to arrest this time for the kidnapping to stop?

Martissant Haiti after a heavy rainfall, a woman is being carried from a motorcycle taxi onto a man's back (we call that Taxi Moun) to get across the muddy streets to safety without dirtying her beautiful sandals..

What do you think about that?

Young Haitian American diaspora enjoying her vacation in Boca chica Dominican Republic instead of the northern beaches of Haiti

Young Haitian American diaspora enjoying her vacation in Boca chica Dominican Republic instead of the northern beaches of Haiti

I received this picture from a young Haitian American diaspora who decided to enjoy her sunny Caribbean vacation in Boca chica, Dominican Republic when she could have been chilling in Haiti but...

She wanted to go to the beach and enjoy a few days off hard work in New York. Instead of going to Haiti where are there exist many beautiful white sandy beaches, she decided to go to the neighboring Dominican Republic where the sun shines the same and at least it's safer.

Sure could have been at a Cotes-des- Haiti there is a very nicem all-inclusive Beach Resort Hotel there but how can she get there safely with all that insecurity in Haiti.

Too bad for the Haitian tourism industry.
