I am not sure who you are or the extent of your education; however I must say that Haitian people do not need to have any claim on Beyonce.

Our culture is more about intellect rather than looks and celebrity status.

We are the first Black Republic in the world.

We believe in Education.

Haitian kids in my family and (most friends' families) major in engineering, Statistics, Pre-med etc. We love literature, Arts, Classical music.

Our children know about proper etiquette at a young age. We are a very people.

We do not believe in or ask for handouts.

Wanting Beyonce to be Haitian because it would make us feel good is a joke. We would be more likely to claim Steve Jobs or Bill Gates etc.
Here is the reason why Haiti never had a chance from the very begining.

This is a small portion of an article written by Tunku Varadarajan, Here are his credentials and contact information:

Tunku Varadarajan is a national affairs correspondent and writer at large for The Daily Beast.

He is also a research fellow at Stanford
