I applaud you for sharing this information with us. It drove me to learn more about Haiti's History.

I moved to the US at the age of 11. I remember reciting the lessons on Histoire D'Haiti.

We didn't have to understand it, just recite.

I agree, we need to re-educate ourselves as Haitians and learn about our roots.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Haitians.

I believe as we educate ourselves, we can educate those around us who are ignorant the history of Haitians.

There is a scripture in the bible that says: "My people are perish because of lack of knowledge".
