Many haitians refuse to say they are from Haiti.

That has been in their minds for a log time. Even when they are in Haiti, they refuse to say in wich province they are from. For example, if you meet someone in Port-au-Prince, he will not tell you whether he/she is from Glacie Courreau or Roche Ronde, because he/she is afraid that people would consider him/her like a hill belley (neg andeyo)
I have a friend of mine from Galion Ohio, he told me that he recently pulled up some Haitian kids in Florida.

He even try to ask them about their family, they refuse to tell him. It is an act of inferiority.

It is also a problem of parental education.

THat is to say, Denz. Eddy adn Smith can all have Haitian connection.

If their parents felt bad about telling them where they are from, they would not tell you whether they are Haitians for sure. IT is a parental problem.

Even today, most haitians who have kids in the states do not want to take their kids to Haiti.

In ten years, we will have more celebrities who ignore their descendent.
