If this is a really big and continuing problem WHY needs to be checked out. People need the fish from the lake, they need the water for drinking and washing, and I have seen children play in the lake.

The problem is not Evangelicals, nor even the devil directly, though he may be leading people to do something harmful.

The problem is material-pollution, a fish disease, or something solvable.

Lakes all over the world are being harmed by various polutants, and are being cleaned up. Definitely ask God to help find the solution, and to correct it.

Revelation 11:18 warns us God's judgements on those who destroy the earth.

Many people do harmful things because they do not know better, but some do harmful things just because it profits them and they don't care about anyone else so long as they get what they want.
